SYMPTOMS

The following error occurred in the alert log:

ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [KSSRMP1], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], []
ORA-17502: ksfdcre:3 Failed to create file /media/oracle_backup/***/inc1_***_979421954_data_D-***_I-676737832_TS-SYSTEM_***.dbf

The Call Stack Trace in the associated incident trace file shows:

 THE DATABASE LEVEL. NFS MOUNTED BACKUP DECAUSE

After recreating a damaged filesystem of a backup server and when triggering RMAN backup the process may get struck with the internal errors.

SOLUTION

Note:

When using a different folder name for the local mount point, as described in Doc ID 2094406.1, the problem still may still occur. However, the following workaround can help resolve the errors.

Workaround:

When using the /etc/fstab, replacing the hostname with IP address could help resolve these errors.

/etc/fstab (before):
***-backup***p.****.****.com:/data /media/oracle_backup nfs rw,bg,hard,intr,actimeo=0 0 0

/etc/fstab (after)
:/data /media/oracle_backup nfs rw,bg,hard,intr,actimeo=0 0 0
